Mark MacKenzie filed as a candidate for Congress in NH CD1 at 10am on Wednesday with New Hampshire Secretary of State Bill Gardner and announced endorsements by the New Hampshire State Association of Letter Carriers and the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers, Local 836.

“I am proud to announce the endorsement of two influential organizations for our campaign, the Letter Carriers and the Machinists. Both are great examples of the power of collective action that will propel our campaign for New Hampshire’s working families to victory,” MacKenzie said.

The New Hampshire State Association of Letter Carriers endorsement cited MacKenzie’s long career fighting for Granite Staters. “He has been a strong progressive voice in New Hampshire for over 25 years. Mark has a proven record with 25 years as a Manchester Fire Fighter and 25 years as President of the NH AFL CIO. He has always been there on the streets and in the State House to help people in need. We need his experience and powerful voice in Congress.”

MacKenzie was the first NH congressional candidate to file to be on the September 11th Ballot. He submitted well over the 100 petitions required to qualify as an official candidate.
