SEVENTH UNION ENDORSEMENT. Former New Hampshire AFL-CIO President Mark MacKenzie continues to roll up endorsements for his 1st District U.S. House run from his colleagues in organized labor.

MacKenzie’s campaign told New Hampshire Primary Source that the Democratic state legislator has been endorsed by the Communication Workers of America Local 1400, which represents more than 1,000 members and is based in Portsmouth.

CWA is the seventh union local to endorse MacKenzie, who is among six Democrats who have announced candidacies to succeed U.S. Rep. Carol Shea-Porter. The others are the Plumbers and Steamfitters Local 131, the National Association of Letter Carriers Branch 44, the United Steel Workers, the Service Employees International Union Local 560, the Sheet Metal Workers Local 7 and the United Food and Commercial Workers.
